Caroline Jappy - President (since 2026)
I am originally from Kirkcaldy in Fife, Scotland. After spending 20 years in the Middle East (United Arab Emirates and Qatar), I retired and moved to Palmera in mid-2025 with my husband Scott, our dog Murphy and rescue cat Bella.
I have worked in Admin / Office Manager roles for Chartered Surveyors, Legal firms, UAE government, and latterly Qatar Foundation Endowment as a PA to the Chief Operations Officer.
Taking up the mantle of President of Gandia and Oliva Social Club is a proud moment. I aim to lead an energetic team of committee members to enhance the social gatherings and provide an inclusive environment to meet, enjoy, interact and most importantly have fun while we enjoy our life in this most amazing part of Spain.
Carol-Ann Nonino - Vice President (since 2026)
I am proud to be part of a dedicated team of volunteers working to create a welcoming, friendly, and vibrant community for our members.
My husband and I spent many years working in the Middle East before making Spain our permanent home in 2022. Having experienced the challenges of settling into a new country, I understand how important social connections can be.
Through my involvement with GOSC, I enjoy helping people make new friends, discover new experiences, and feel part of a supportive community. When I'm not involved with club activities, you'll usually find me socialising with friends, travelling, volunteering at PEPA, or enjoying the wonderful Spanish lifestyle.
If I had to sum up my experience with GOSC in one sentence, it would be this: strangers became friends, friends became family, and together we continue to create wonderful memories.
Diana Jameson - Treasurer (since 2020)
I moved to Spain 8 years ago. When I was in the UK, I worked as a bookkeeper my whole career and had my own successful business. I am currently the treasurer for GOSC and also assist with all the event and quiz bookings. I have also been the treasurer for the U3A in Oliva on two separate occasions.
Chrissie Teall - Secretary (since 2018)
I was born and brought up on a farm in Hertfordshire, UK. My mother was Latvian and my father British. After attaining a BSc at Loughborough University I lived in Milton Keynes and then Bishops Stortford, with jobs in The Open University and then in IT in the pharmaceutical industry. I have 2 sons and 2 grandchildren who live in the UK. I have lived in Spain for 18 years, first in Oliva and then in Pego, where I currently live with my partner Steve. My hobbies include line dancing, tennis and amateur dramatics.
