The u3a, Oliva are organising the following day trip - Relleu Tour and Bridge Walk. Please find below more details about the trip and how to book.

On this fabulous guided tour, you'll discover one of the lesser-known villages of the Marina Baja region, and enjoy a thrilling stroll along the famous footbridges.

You will stroll through its cobbled streets, visit its traditional washhouse, refresh ourselves at its numerous fountains, and explore its magnificent ethnographic museum, home to an incredible collection of tools and implements from different eras.

During the tour, you'll enjoy a tasting of local products, highly prized by the locals and absolutely delicious.

The visit will continue to surprise you with its hermitage, old mills, church, and, of course, its castle of Moorish origin.

Optional Upgrade: Footbridge Visit & Hike

After the village tour and tasting, there's the option of visiting the famous Reservoir Footbridges.

Our guide will lead us on a 2 km (one way) hike, explaining the flora, fauna, and anthropological features such as lime kilns and dry stone walls.

The dam footbridge is a route made up of wooden planks cantilevered over the wall of the canyon. It has a distance of approximately 850 meters (round trip). Starting at 60m above ground, the footbridges gradually descend around 40 metres down close to the riverbed.

You'll need sensible shoes, some water, and a head for heights for this one.

Your ticket includes your bus transfer, tasting session and admission to the museum.

Once you arrive, the visit to Rellau will last around 4-5 hours.

The bus picks up at 5 different stops:

  • 08:00 Bellreguard
  • 08:05 Palmera
  • 08:10 Cafe Salva, Oliva
  • 08:20 Oliva Playa
  • 08:30 Oliva Polivalent

You will arrive back around 17:00.
